Project updates for grasya.org

For the curious, these are updates on the giving projects that I’m handling:

Mobile Library – Computer Tablets were distributed in South Cotabato, Laguna, Antique and Nepal. The tablet was used in Canada when Ate Maria Todi, head of the Tiboli Tribe Cultural School attended a conference. Meanwhile, Didi Ananda Radhika, the head of the school in Hetauda, Nepal used the tablet when she went to India. I’m still waiting for the updates on how the tablet is being used at Gawad Kalinga, Antique. On the other hand, the tablet donated to the Senior Citizen’s community in Laguna got broken due to overcharging.

Oh well. Nevertheless, it is indeed an empowering tool, thank you to the donor Smart Communications.

Books and other donations were also given to the Ati community and some are still to on the way. Thank you to my highschool batchmates who continue to support me in this advocacy <3

Senior Citizens community – I’m not really hands on to this, I just observed my mom and her barkadas.. I think there’s a healthy environment for senior citizens in this community because the other day, a medical mission was held here and all the seniors were given free medical check up. So all is good.

Next Projects:

These are my projects in the pipeline: Scholarships for out of school youths; livelihood projects for older women; travel scholarships; and a personal family project that is confidential.. And as if the universe has read my mind, 2 people have approached to support me in these projects even before I publish this, thank you soOo much! <3

Here’s two of the possible beneficiaries of the scholarship project:

beneficiary

Eugene A. Canja Jr, 17 years old

Do you want to send these young people to school? Let me know.

I’m also joining fundraising activities organized by international and national travel bloggers. Next month there’s a photography exhibit I’m organizing as a fundraising activity too.. exciting months ahead ^_^

As for the family clan project, all the family and clan members have been drained financially because of a challenge so I asked my cousin to make a fundraising campaign online instead, but some of the family members disagree saying it can be solved by the family clan.. so I will let the family clan solve it ^_^

Anyway, for those who have ongoing fundraising activities, stories of random kindness, stuff to give away, feel free to contribute content here at grasya.org

Together, in our own small way, let us create ripple effects of building a better world.
